Laurence “Boug” C. Bruggeman, 73, of Fremont, OH passed away on June 11, 2026 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1953 the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Minich) Bruggeman.
Boug married the love of his life, whom he spent the past fifty years always together 24/7, Cheryl A. King on September 18, 1976 in Fremont, OH and she survives. He was a driver for Gottron’s Quarry for many years until he started Larry’s Lawncare Plus.
Larry’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved his dog, Gia, was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed attending sprint car races as a devoted Steve Kinser fan. Boug was deeply patriotic and also enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling, working in the yard, gathering around campfires, and listening to oldies music. Known and loved by many as Uncle Boug, he will be greatly missed.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Bruggeman; daughter, Carrie (Ryan) Stohl; grandchildren, Kody Culbert and Kennedi Stohl; siblings, Mary LeJeune, Brenda Wheatley, Jane Freeman, Jim (Teresa) Bruggeman, Lisa Bruggeman all of Fremont, OH and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Lenny Wheatley.
Private services were held for the family.
Memorials can be made in honor to the Cherry Street Mission.
