Laura R. Walby

Laura R. Walby, 59, of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by her family at her mother’s home on Monday, December 1, 2025 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 19, 1966 in Fremont to Franklin J. and Nancy (Schaeffer) Walby. Laura was a member of the Fremont Ross High School class of 1985.

Laura found joy in a variety of activities, including crafting, tending to her garden and caring for her beloved pets. She cherished the moments she spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Laura is survived by her son, Andrew Britt, Fremont, OH; mother, Nancy Walby, Fremont, OH; siblings, Daniel (Lisa Riley) Walby, North Baltimore, OH, Marjorie Messina, Fremont, OH, Carrie (Joe Perkins) Walby, Vickery, OH; grandchildren, Zoya Britt, Devin Britt, Gabriel Lovell, Achlys Britt, Kieran Britt and Pagan Britt, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her father, Franklin J. Walby.

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday April 18, 2026, at the Townsend Recreation Hall, 5076 Co. Rd. 247, Vickery OH 43464 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Memorials can be made in Laura’s honor to her family.
