Joseph L. Shock

Joseph “Joe” L. Shock, 47, of Old Fort, OH passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. He was born on May 28, 1965 in Tiffin, OH, the son of Robert E. and Rita Marie (Dull) Shock. He was a 1983 graduate of Old Fort High School.

Joe married Julie L. Grieger on June 24, 1989 in Oak Harbor, OH and she survives. He currently worked as a Lineman and Supervisor at Kenneth Myers Construction for twenty-three years. Joe was a member of Old Fort United Methodist Church and was Assistant Chief of Old Fort Fire Department for twenty-four years. He loved Michigan football and enjoyed fishing and playing baseball.

Joe is survived by his wife, Julie L. Shock, Old Fort, OH; children, Ashley Shock, Tiffin, OH, Megan and Taylor Shock both of Old Fort, OH; brother, Timothy E. Shock, Tiffin, OH, Gloriajean M. Shock, Oak Harbor, OH; many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Donald E. and Madeline Dull, Doyle and Stella Shock.

Visitation: Wednesday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N. Broadway St, Green Springs, OH.

Service: Thursday, February 7, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Alice officiating.

Burial: Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort, OH
