Joseph J. Sabo

Joseph J. Sabo, 83, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. He was born on July 8, 1929 in Fremont to Stephen and Bessie (Jeffries) Sabo.

Joseph married Carol Schlipf and she survives. He was the Owner of Kingsway Auto Parts and Buckeye Motor Sales. He enjoyed racing and loved to work on late model cars and trucks. Joseph was inducted into the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame and was the first Fremont native to own a race car.

Joseph is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Carol Sabo, Fremont, OH; children, Bernice Ochs, Vickery, OH, Eloise Cherry of Kentucky, JoAnn Sabo, Fremont, OH, Timothy (Demaris) Sabo, Toledo, OH, Teresa Petersen, Vickery, OH and Steven (Linda) Sabo, Fremont, OH; ten grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Brunner; sister, Bonnie Davis and one granddaughter.

There will be no services held at this time.
