John W. Antesberger

John W. Antesberger, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Valley View Healthcare. He was born on April 15, 1939 in Fremont, OH to Karl and Elsie (Balsizer) Antesberger. John was a 1957 graduate of Ross High School and then went on to serve in the National Guard.

John married Faye Rochelle Bullock on September 19, 1959 at Grace Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong farmer at Antesberger Brothers. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and spending time at his cabin in Pennsylvania. John was a Riley Township Trustee and was very active in the community.

John is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Faye Antesberger; children; Elizabeth “Betsy” (Danny) Anstead, Green Springs, OH, Lisa Abdoo, Karla (Humberto Sanchez) Antesberger, Jennifer (Joel) Roberts, all of Fremont, OH and Karl (Kate) Antesberger, Oak Harbor, OH; siblings, Thomas Antesberger, Fremont and Cynthia (David) Young, Marblehead, OH; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Kaye Willey and Paul Antesberger; grandchildren, Derek Anstead, Lorenzo Abdoo and Gabriel Abdoo; son-in-law, James Abdoo.

The family would like to thank John’s friends and the farming community for their lifelong friendship and support. They would also like to thank the staff of Valley View Healthcare for their care over the past several years.

John’s wish was to have a private family service.
