Jerry L. Starks

Jerry “Blue” L. Starks, 79, of Fremont, OH passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on October 20, 1944 to Jeff and Alice (James) Starks in Mississippi. Jerry worked as a general laborer for Whirlpool and Kelsey Hayes. He enjoyed cooking for his family, playing chess and Solitaire.

Jerry is survived by his children; Laura (James) Starks-Carmon, Darlene Starks, both of Columbus, OH, Alice Starks, GA, Charles “PacMan” Starks, Rochelle Starks and Elijah Starks his young protégé all of Fremont; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Bernice Tayler, CA, Helen (Mike) Foos, Shirley (Tracey) Stacey and Sam (Sharie) Starks all of Fremont; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son; Jerry Starks Jr., siblings; Willie Starks, JC Starks, James Starks, Daisy Newsome and Charles Starks Sr.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 9 2024 from 11-12 a.m. at Heritage Church, 1204 Kentucky Ave. Fremont, OH 43420.

Services will take place following visitation at noon at the church. 

Luncheon will follow services in the fellowship hall.

Burial will take place at a later date at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.

Memorials can be made in his honor to the family.
