Jerry Reed

Jerry N. Reed Sr., 84, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born on April 10, 1941 in Columbus, OH to William and Iva Jean (Braymer) Reed. Jerry served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War from 1959 to 1964.

Jerry was an artist expressing his creativity and passion through his work. His artistic abilities were a meaningful part of his life and brought joy to those around him. Jerry also found great joy in tending to his garden. He spent many peaceful hours cultivating his plants and taking pride in the beauty and bounty his hard work produced. Jerry generously devoted two decades of his life volunteering at Fremont Memorial Hospital. His commitment to service reflected his deeply held values and desire to give back to his community, and his efforts were appreciated by both the hospital staff and those whose lives he touched during his years of service.

Jerry is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Peggi Reed, Fremont, OH; children, Ted (Donna) Reed, Auburn, IN, Aimee Reed, Fremont, OH, Jerry (Mindy) Reed Jr and Christopher (Megan) Reed, Fremont, OH; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and his dog, Maggie.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Marie Reed; grandson Marc Howe and seven brothers and sisters.

Services were held privately for family.
