Jeffery R. Matt

Jeffery Matt, 54, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 1, 2026. He was born on May 9, 1971 in Fremont, OH to Ludwig and Alice (Fielhauer) Matt. Jeff was a 1989 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

On August 1, 1998, Jeff married Leann Wilbert in Fremont, OH, marking the beginning of a devoted partnership. Throughout his career, Jeff served as part owner and operator of Light Craft Mfg, where he dedicated many years to the business. Beyond his professional life, Jeff was an avid Ohio State, Cleveland Browns and Detroit Tigers and Pistons fan and was passionate about riding his Harley Davidson. He cherished spending quality time with his family, friends and the family cat, always valuing the moments shared with loved ones.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Leann Matt; children, Jeffery Hunter Matt, Reagan Matt, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Susan (Dennis) Wright, Green Springs, OH, Kenneth (Amy) Matt, Fremont, OH.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at New Apostolic Church, 817 Mulberry St, Fremont, OH 43420.
