James R. Scott

James “Jimmy” R. Scott, 68, passed away on Saturday, 21, 2023 in Columbus, OH.  He was born on April 27, 1955 in Fremont, OH to William and Queen (Tiller) Scott.  Jimmy was a 1974 graduate of Fremont Ross High School where he ran track. Jimmy enjoyed watching football and Bruce Lee movies, fishing and clowning around.

Jimmy is survived by his children, James Kiser, Chaston Scott, Asia Scott, all of Fremont, OH, Tasia Petty, Fostoria, OH, Whitney (Steve) Parker and Richard Scott, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, William “Billy” (Connie) Scott, Bruce Scott, both of Fremont, OH, Richard (Sabrina) Scott, Chicago, IL, Beverly Simms, Glenda Scott , Miller Scott and Tina Scott, all of Fremont, OH, Jeremy (Hannah) Scott, Pueblo, CO; aunts, Ruby Tiller, Columbus, OH, Louise Tiller, Indianapolis, IN and many grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Juantia Scott.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

A service will begin at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
