Helen Frances Eisenhower

Helen Frances Eisenhower, 89, of Green Springs, OH passed away on April 9, 2024 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH.  She was born on December 25, 1934 in Vindex, MD the daughter of Edward Jacob and Gladys Fannie (Puffenbarger) Ross.  Helen married Carol Edwin Eisenhower on May 31, 1955 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1992.

Helen was a homemaker and retired from Ballreich’s Chips and Progress Plastics after many years of service.   She was a longtime member of Green Springs United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.  Helen also enjoyed gardening and cooking but most of all loved to spend time with her family.

Helen is survived by her children, James Eisenhower, Carol “Sue” Steinhauser both of Green Springs, Dwight (Brenda) Eisenhower, Tiffin, Allen (Robin) Eisenhower and Jay (Roni) Eisenhower both of Green Springs; siblings, Edward, Samuel and Larry Ross and Linda Shillingburg; grandchildren, Sandy Huffman, Chris Eisenhower, Edward and Steven Bowman, Frederick Steinhauser, Michael Eisenhower, Wendy Cain, Michael and Megan Buckner, Seth, Alyssa and Jacob Eisenhower; seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carol Edwin Eisenhower and eleven brothers and sisters.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N Broadway St., Green Springs, OH.

Funeral service will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024; 11:00 a.m. at Green Springs United Methodist Church, 117 N Broadway St., Green Springs, OH with an hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
