Helen S. Cominsky

Helen S. Cominsky, 103, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont, OH. Helen was born on January 30, 1923 to John and Mildred (Sherman) Sweet in Bellevue, OH. Helen was a 1941 graduate of Bellevue High School. She married Robert Cominsky on July 3, 1948 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1978.

Helen loved her family and she enjoyed hosting them, especially at the pool. She wintered in Naples, Florida for many years. Helen was a member of Fremont Presbyterian Church. She was a very generous person and always remembered everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries.

Helen is survived by her children, Robert Cominsky, Fremont, OH, Michael “Chip” (Donna) Cominsky, Findlay, OH; grandchildren, Cortney (Paul) Rogers, Catherine (Geof Meyer) Cominsky, Jay Cominsky, Joyelle (Andrew) Bishop, Abby (Kerry) Trombley, Mark Cominsky, Ann (Paul) Hadde, Rob (Michelle) Haslinger, Amber (Mark) Wright; great-grandchildren, Zach Rogers, Blake Rogers, Dominic (Madeline) Cominsky, Liam, Linken, Everleigh, Ethan Bishop, Jonah and Micah Trombley, Luther and Josiah Hadde, Heliena and Haryson Haslinger, Kaden Kroeger, Lynkin and Lindyn Meyer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Debra Haslinger; siblings, Joseph Sweet, Jack Sweet and Gretchen Cronin.

The family would like to thank the administration, the staff of Valley View Health Campus and especially Jodi, Jill and Sylvia for their loving care for Helen.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Fremont Presbyterian Church, 1020 Kentucky Ave., Fremont, OH 43420. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church.

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemtery, Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made in Helen’s honor to Fremont Presbyterian Church or donor’s choice.
