Gary Jaeger

Gary F. Jaeger, 74, of Fremont, OH passed away on August 11, 2026 at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont, OH. He was born on September 8, 1951 in Wilmington, DE the son of Walter and Beverly (Hogan) Jaeger. Gary was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and received his bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Bowling Green State University.

Gary worked at the City of Clyde as an environmental engineer for ten years. He then went to Whirlpool Corporation where he continued as an environmental engineer for over thirty years until he retired. Gary enjoyed woodworking, skiing and playing in several pool and dart leagues.

Gary is survived by his children, Jason (Kathy) Jaeger, Angela (Brandon Smith) Jaeger, Christina Jaeger, David Jaeger all of Fremont; grandchildren, Alexis (Ben) Miller, Jakob Jaeger, Blake and Brody Smith, Aubrianah Jaeger, Avaya and Alaysia Bates; great granddaughter, Emerson Miller; siblings, Don (Karen) Jaeger and Barb Jaeger both of Kentucky; former wife, Marion Jaeger, Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory.
