Gary Ellis Henry

Gary Ellis Henry, 82, of Fremont, OH passed away on August 15, 2025 at his home under the care of his grandchildren Ebonee and Jasmyn. He was born on November 2, 1942 in Fremont, OH the son of Lowell and Evelyn (Ellis) Henry. He was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Gary married Sandra M. Posey on October 30, 1982 at Christian Assembly Church in Fremont, OH and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2019. He was employed at Kelsey Hayes for over forty years until he retired. Gary was a member of Victory Church and had deep faith with the Lord. He enjoyed watching TV, playing the piano and going to the YMCA for many years.

Gary is survived by his children, Tammy Davis, Fremont, OH, Larry Henry, Fremont, OH, Laurie DeLuca, Tiffin, OH Michelle Henry, Fremont, OH, and Rachel Henry, Newville, PA; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra Henry; siblings, Amy Henry and Thomas Henry.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made in his honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
