Gary H. Cooper

Gary H. Cooper, 70, of Fremont, OH passed away on December 25, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on November 28, 1953 in Fremont, OH the son of Howard and Joyce (Polter) Cooper.  He was a 1972 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Gary married Karen Lagrou on April 20, 1974 in Fremont, OH and she survives.  He worked at Century Tool and Die for over thirty years as a toolmaker until he retired in 2012.  Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing, target shooting and bowling.  

Gary is survived by his wife, Karen Cooper, Fremont; son, Kevin (Heather M.) Cooper, Fremont; mother, Joyce Cooper, Fremont; grandchildren, Andrew, Erika, Katie and Brooke; siblings, Howard Cooper, Linda Meyers, Patricia Glenn and Robert Cooper.

He is preceded in death by his father; daughter, Lori Smith; brothers, Thomas Cooper and David Cooper.

Visitation: Friday, December 29, 2023 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.  

Funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Garden, Clyde, OH
