Eugene T. Potridge, 78, of Fremont, OH passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. He was born on March 8, 1935 in Bremen, GA, the son of Arthur and Pearl (Hobbs) Potridge.
Eugene married Shirley Metzger on May 3, 1955 in Indiana and she survives. He worked at Martin Marietta as a Heavy Equipment Operator for forty-six years, retiring in 1999. Eugene was a member of the Baptist Church in Genoa, OH. He was also a member of the Fremont Moose and loved working on bicycles, scrap, gardening and yard work.
Eugene is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Shirley Potridge, Fremont, OH; children, Eugene Potridge, Gibsonburg, OH, Terry Potridge, Jeff (Sherry) Potridge, both of Fremont, OH, Kevin Potridge of West Virginia, Eric Potridge, Fostoria, OH, Sandra (Matt) Whitcomb, Port Clinton, OH; siblings, Jimmy (Jeanne) Potridge, Helena, OH, Wesley Potridge, Klamak Falls, OR, Grace Wade, Bremen, GA; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stanley, Troy, Roy, Hoyt, Billy and an infant brother; sisters, Evelyn Golden, Louise Allen, Mabel Elder, Mary Bouchard; grandson, Todd Munoz.
