Elsie Jane Dick

Elsie Jane Dick, 94, of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on September 3, 1931 in Carey, OH to Lloyd and Venda (Wentling) Hill. She was a 1949 graduate of Carey High School.

Elsie married Victor Dick on October 13, 1956 at St. Peters Church, Alvada, OH and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2005. She worked as a bank teller and later was employed in the loan department at Old Fort Banking. Elsie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Blessed Sacrament and the Confraternity. She was a former member of the Old Fort Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary, Fremont Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary in Green Springs, OH. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, sewing quilts and baking.

Elsie is survived by her children, Daniel (Kelly) Dick, Waterville, OH, Venda (James) Levy, Katy, TX; brother, Jan (Mary) Hill, Hillsdale, MI; sister-in-law, Irma Hill; grandchildren, Liam Dick, Bailey Dick, Max Levy, Elijah (Maranda) Levy, Sheena Levy; great-grandson, Vincent Levy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Victor A. Dick; siblings, Betty Gibson, Judy Shumaker, John Hill, Donald Hill, Lloyd Hill and Sandra Copple; and infant sister, Dorothy Hill.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Elise’s honor to American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Church.
