Donald B. Lee

Donald B. Lee, 85, of Fremont, OH passed away on October 31, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 19, 1940 in Fremont, OH the son of Bernard and Marjorie (Hunker) Lee. Donnie was a 1958 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Donnie served in the US Air Force.

Donnie married Billie Beckley on June 12, 1987 in Bermuda and she survives. He was a tool maker at Century Die for over forty-one years until he retired. Donnie was an active member and spent many hours helping with the maintenance of the Fremont Yacht Club and the Fremont Elks Lodge. He also enjoyed camping and was an Ohio State fan. Donnie loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Donnie had the kindest heart, the warmest smile, and a spirit that never stopped giving. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, proud veteran, a hard worker and some who could never sit still for too long! He was always seen fixing, building or out in the yard doing something. Donnie gave so much of himself to everyone around him and never missed a moment with his family. Donnie was funny, loving and steady in all the ways that matter. “We thank you for every memory, every bit of love, and every lesson you left behind.” You will always be our hero!

Donnie is survived by his wife, Billie Lee, Fremont; children, Dustin (Beth) Lee, Wendy (Rick) Zilch, Andy (Lynda) Chudzinski all of Fremont, Corby Chudzinski, Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Jameson, Jacob, Jenna, Bailey and Brody Chudzinski; great grandchildren, Royce and Kamri.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH. Military honors will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date at the Fremont Yacht Club.
