Debra R. Blodgett

Debra R. Blodgett, 69, of Fremont, OH passed away on November 17, 2024 at Fireland Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. She was born on December 27, 1953 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Gordon “Jack” and Naomi (Steelman) Whitaker. She was a 1972 graduate of Clyde High School.

Deb worked at Whirlpool Corporation in sub assembly for over forty-five years until she retired in 2020. She enjoyed photography and was a Cleveland Indian fan. Deb was a hard working dedicated mother and grandmother and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Deb is survived by her children, Shane Blodgett, St. Louis, MO, Erica Blodgett and Ryan Blodgett both of Fremont; grandchildren, Christian Cole Holladay, Sloan and Andrew Blodgett, Alyjah Jones, Mason, Audrianna and Addison Blodgett; siblings, Sherry (Tom) Jackson, Kettering, OH and Paul Raymond (Tammy) Whitaker, Lindsey, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Andre Blodgett; brothers, Jack Clayton Whitaker and Arthur Ray Whitaker; former husband, Steven “Frog” Blodgett.

Visitation will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

A celebration of life will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made in her honor to donor’s choice.

Burial will take place at McPhearson Cemetery with her brother Art at a later date.
