Deborah Slane

Deborah A. (Deb) Slane (Kedzior) passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. Deb was born January 16, 1951 in Salamanca, NY to Chester and Pauline (Rakus) Zedzior.

She moved to Ohio when she was 20 years old. Deb worked part time as a prepper for Tackle Box 2 in Fremont, Ohio. She also worked for Cleaning and Such, Gibsonburg Ohio for 22 years. Deb enjoyed going to flea markets, craft shows, the 127 yard sales and traveling with Danny. Above all else Deb enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Deb held a special place in her heart for her son, Nicholas L (Sarah) Slane, grandchildren; Allysah Lanae (Jacob) & Devin LeRoy Slane and her great grandsons; Brayden Ryan, Parker Cole, Maxwell Adam, all of Bellevue, Ohio, special partner of fifteen years, Danny Stephens.

Deb will be remembered for being a hard worker and for making people laugh at the silly things she did.

Deb is also survived by her sister Barbara Bailey (Sandoval) David. Brothers; Edward “Bud” Harrison (Evie) of Cattaraugus, NY. Robert (Tam) Harrison of Gardon Grove CA; special friends, Sereta Stephens, Tracy Stephens, Danny (Angie) Stephens, Jamie Stines

She is preceded in death by her parents. Also her beloved sister Carol O’Brian of Salamanca her special friend, Carole Kwiatkowski and many Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.

Funeral Services will take place following visitation beginning at 12 noon.

Memorials can be made in her honor to the American Lung Association.
