David Lewis Lindstrom

David Lewis Lindstrom, 72, of O’Fallon MO and previously of Fremont, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. David was born on October 1, 1952 to Leonard H. and Grace M. (Hojem) Lindstrom in Fremont, OH. He was a 1970 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

David worked for General Motors as a Boilermaker for over 25 years, most recently at GM’s Wentzville Assembly plant in Missouri. He was a part of the local UAW 2250 and retired in 2023. Prior to GM David worked many jobs including painting water towers and working for

the sugar beet factory. In his early years David enjoyed fishing on the lake with his dad and brother, building forts on Brady's Island and hanging out with his friends. He loved tie-dye, writing poetry, and was an avid bicyclist. He participated in the 1976 Bike Centennial from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. He loved riding the GOBA and Peddlers Jamboree Bicycle

Festivals along with many others across the country. David was musically talented, playing the flute and harmonica. David had a large circle of family and friends who loved him dearly.

He is survived by his siblings, Doris Hames, Mary Reuben, Amy Lindstrom Howley; nieces and nephews, Erika (Ross) Merrifield, Grace (Chuck) Scott, Dennis (Tammy) Buchannan, James McCann, Gracie, Summer and Erik Howley, Mia Scott; great nieces and nephews, Rio Rose, Wren, Hailey (Nick), Heidi, Hayden, Dylan; great-great nephew, Curtis; and many friends from all over the country.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard H. and Grace M. Lindstrom and siblings, Robert Lindstrom and Joyce McCann.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date
