Chandra "Trease" L. Jones

Chandra “Trease” L. Jones, 53, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 2, 2026. She was born on March 3, 1972 in Osceola, AR to Bessie (Simmons) Minniefield and Quincy Freeman.

Trease dedicated more than twenty years of her career life to the Heinz Company, where her hard work and commitment were evident to all who knew her. She was passionate about baking, often delighting family and friends with her homemade treats. Trease also enjoyed shopping and listening to music, which brought her relaxation and happiness. She took pride in enhancing her home, always seeking ways to make it a warm and welcoming space. Above all, she cherished spending quality time with her family, creating lasting memories together.

Trease is survived by her husband, Tadara Jones; son, Devontay Jones; mother, Bessie Minniefield; siblings, Velda (Patrick) Jones and Henry C. Davis; nieces, Ashanti Elkins and Santisha Jones; nephew, DeMarcus Jones and her dog, Fluffy.

She is preceded in death by her father, Quincy Freeman; sister, Latoya Minniefield and her dog, Spike.

Services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Missionary Church, 1699 Dickinson St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
