Carol M. Biehler

Carol M. Biehler, 80 passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, February 23, 2024.  She was born on March 17, 1943 in Fremont, OH to Ivan “Ike” and Mary (Miller) Koebel.  Carol was a 1962 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School.

Carol married Fred Biehler on July 20, 1982 in Fremont, OH and he survives.  She worked for Ohio Bell, Nickel’s Bakery and Whitey’s Dinner.   Carol was a member of the Fremont Eagle’s and VFW.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and Euchre, deer and bird watching, traveling but above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Fred Biehler; children, Brian (Tammy) Stites, Lynn Adams, Natalie Stites, Andrea Mata, Anthony Biehler, all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Samantha Adams, Tajah Martin, Vanessa Mata, Martin Mata, Anthony Biehler, Tessa Stites, great grandchildren, Raelynn, Neveah, Carlee, Alayna, William; twin brother, Carl (Mary Ann) Koebel, Port Clinton, OH; siblings, Mike (Lori) Koebel, Betty Jo Wohlgamuth, Lynn Walker and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Alan Winebarger; brothers-in law, Bill Wohlgamuth and Edwin Walker.

Carol’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Sandusky County EMS team and Sheriff’s for their exceptional care given to Carol and family.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 2 to 6 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. following the visitation on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made in Carol’s honor to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or to Shriners Children Hospital.
