Candace Patrese Liggins

Candace “Candi” Patrese Liggins, 43, of Fremont, OH passed away on October 10, 2025 surrounded by her family at Toledo ProMedica Hospital. Candi was born on June 3, 1982 to Mary Liggins and Charles Lavallier in Fremont. She was a 2001 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and Vangaurd Tech Center Early Childhood Education Program.

Candi was currently employed at GLCAP for over ten years. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and loved serving when she could. She enjoyed singing, Phase 10, and karaoke. Candi loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed supporting sports in Fremont. Candi was the light of the room and was easy to talk to, loved everybody and laughed always even in serious situations.

Candi is survived by her loving parents, Mary Liggins and Alfred Wolverton; children, Keeojah, Keeyaris, Khaniya Nason; special daughters, Breyari Nason, Aiyah Jones; God-children, Zee Williams, Erieyanna Buckley, Monique Kimmet, Dekentre Hardin; siblings, Darah Liggins, Dyrail Liggins, William “Billy” Wolverton, Tony Price, Michael Britner; God-siblings, Dearlo Hardin, Brandon Walker, Kaivion Morrisette, Rashonda Brown, Cara Smith; grandchildren, Ke’Aria, Ke’Lani, Casey II “Deuce” Chapman; children’s father, Kendrid “Puda” Nason; nieces and nephews, Dakiyus Webb, Dazaiya Webb, Daiyon Webb, De’Aris Foster, Desire Parker, Janaja Liggins, Anjelique Hardin, Deryante Hardin, Emahje Buckley, Elliana Buckley, Eric Buckley Jr. And many more; cousin best-friends, Jamie Liggins, Rashe Liggins, Kesha Pickens, Teeousha Williams, Rebecca Jones, Tomeka Peoples and many more; grandparents, Clover Liggins, Beatrice Phillips; aunts, Barbara Peoples, Beverly Liggins, Deborah Wolverton, Shonna Phillips, Pam Lavallier; uncle, Tommie Liggins Jr.; God-mother, Cyndi Johnson and Wanda Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Tommie Liggins Sr. and uncles, David, Larry, Harry Liggins Sr., David Peoples I.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State ST. Fremont, OH 43420.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 1 p.m. at The Church on 53, 1105 Co Rd 41, Fremont, OH 43420 with an hour of visitation before services from 12-1 p.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde, OH.

Memorials can be made in Candi’s honor to her mother Mary Liggins for the care of her children.
