Brian Lehmann, 55, of Humble, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, TX. Brian was born on April 18, 1970 to Herbert and Cheryl (Seilheimer) Lehmann in Fremont, OH. Brian graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School and received an associate’s degree from Terra Technical Institute.
Brian joined Advanced Elastomer Systems in 1997, which was later acquired by ExxonMobil. He relocated to Houston, TX in 2008, where he held several positions, most recently Technical Specialist supporting a variety of ExxonMobil Upstream research programs.
Brian met the love of his life, Melissa Horton, in 2009 and they married on October 6, 2012 in Charlotte, NC. Brian enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life including golfing, fishing, snow skiing and building model airplanes. He has always had a passion for good music and loved attending live concerts. Brian was a big Cleveland Indians fan and attended many games at Progressive Field while living in the Cleveland area. He also had a need for speed, proudly owning various motorcycles and sports cars which brought him joy and adrenaline. More recently, Brian spent his free time barbequing (mastering the art of smoked meat), travelling (Kaanapali Beach, Maui was his favorite vacation destination), and most importantly spending time with friends and family.
Brian is survived by his wife of twelve years, Melissa Lehmann; parents, Herb and Cheryl Lehmann; siblings, Laura Lehmann, Fremont, OH, Kristen (Luis) Reyna, Canton, OH; parents-in-law, James and Dianne Horton, Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law, Matthew (Kelly) Horton, Mount Holly, NC; nieces and nephews, Hayden, Ashton, Adrian, Layla, Alyssa, Mattie and Jessica.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur and Janice Seilheimer, Valerian and Naomi Lehmann, brother-in-law Michael Horton, and fur babies Velvet Ears and Hannah Banana.
Brian first beat the odds with kidney cancer at the age of 4 and went on to live many healthy years. In 2017, he received the wonderful gift of a kidney transplant from his god daughter, Katlyn Rhineberger. Sadly, complications from a recent surgery were more than even Brian could overcome. He fought valiantly for as long as he could and while we are glad that he is no longer suffering, we are heartbroken that he is gone from this world.
