Brandon R. Stines, 54, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was born on January 29, 1972 in Fremont, OH to Nancy (Burton) Stines and Bill Stines. Brandon was a 1990 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Brandon was affectionately known by his family and friends as “B” or “Bop.” He began his career as an appliance technician for LaMar Joseph’s Service Center and then later became the owner and operator. Over the past two years, he worked as a delivery driver for Painters Supply and Equipment, where he was appreciated for his dedication and reliability. His involvement with the Fremont Recreation Center as an umpire brought him joy, and he was especially proud of his work with the Special Olympics. In addition to umpiring, Brandon coached various sports throughout his life, positively impacting many young athletes. Brandon’s love of sports extended to his personal hobbies. He enjoyed golfing, playing softball, participating in cornhole tournaments, bowling, and competing in fantasy football leagues. He was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Chicago Bulls. Known for hosting gatherings, Brandon delighted in cooking for those who attended. His sense of humor and talent for storytelling made every event memorable. Above all, Brandon’s generosity toward his family and friends was unmatched, and he will be remembered for his kindness and unwavering love.
Brandon is survived by his son, Taylor “TJ” (Star Sabo) Stines, Oak Harbor, OH; mother, Nancy Stines, Fremont, OH; father, Bill Stines; sisters, Michelle (Jerry) White, Huntsville, AL, Amanda Stines, Helena, OH; grandchildren, Raelyn Stines, Keegan Stines and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Destiny Stines; granddaughter, A’stajah Freeman and his grandparents.
A Remembrance Gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. at the Pontifex, 416 W. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.
