Beatrice A. Nitschke

Beatrice “Bea” A. Nitschke, 89, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont. Bea was born to Norbert and Pauline (Hedden) Pasch, in Tiffin, OH. Bea was a 1955 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. She married Larry Nitschke on May 22, 1970 at St. John’s Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2016.

Bea was an accountant for Union Carbide and Eveready Battery for over thirty years until she retired in 1989. She enjoyed travelling and watching NASCAR with her late husband Larry.

Bea survives by her nieces and nephews, Tracey Bobek, Emily Adkins, Dean Sparks; great niece, Annika Bobek; great nephew, Nathan Bobek; sibling-in-laws, Bonnie J. (Nitschke) Sparks, James Sparks, Janice S. Pasch and adopted son, Tom Fligor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry Nitschke; brother; Charles E. Pasch.

Visitation will take place on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 10-12 noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.

Funeral Services will follow visitation beginning at 12 noon at the funeral home, with pastor Matt Wheeler Officiating.

A private burial will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials can be made in her honor to St. Johns Lutheran Church or the Fremont Cancer Fund.
