Austin John Weichman, 19, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2023 at his home. He was born on February 16, 2004 the son of John Paul Weichman and Brandy Lynne Hoppes. Austin was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at 6 years old but he never let it slow him down or break his spirit.
Austin mostly enjoyed playing video games, especially Minecraft and GTA. His dream one day was to be a video game designer. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, having late night goofy conversations with his sister Rylee, cheering for the San Fransico 49ers with his dad, and hanging out, playing online and making YouTube videos with his brother Tylyn. Ausitn was an avid fan of the game/movie “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, professional rally driver Ken Block, and the band Five Finger Death Punch.
Ausitn is survived by his father, John Weichman; mother, Brandy Hoppes, both of Fremont, OH; siblings, Cody Bowman, Fremont, Bridget (Adrian Johnes) Roemelen, Fremont, Ariel (Andrew Green) Weichman, Green Springs, Kitana (Jacob Hardesty) Gibson, Collins, OH, Barbara (Robert Morris) Weichman, Tylyn Hoppes, Rylee Weichman, Chace Weichman and Kingston Stratton all of Fremont; grandmother, Shirley Weichman, Oak Harbor; nephews, Jaxson Hardesty, Bash Everhart Green and Floki Dyson Petrucci; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete Weichman, Eugene and Lynne Hoppes.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
