Ann Marie Rusin

Ann Marie Rusin, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Countryside Manor in Fremont. Ann was born on July 29, 1953 to Edward and Frances (Groh) Lyons, in Cleveland, OH.

Ann worked several jobs in her early career, including K-Mart, Malley’s Chocolate, hotels, until she primarily was a homemaker and took care of her home and children. She enjoyed cooking, puzzle books, including word searches, and watching her Soap Opara’s. Ann was known for her kindness and her love for her family and friends. Her son Fred referred to her as “Number One Mom”.

Ann is survived by her companion of fifteen years, Gilberto “Bert” Martinez; son, Frederick (Sarah) Blackshaw Jr., Cleveland, OH; sister, Chrissy Lyons; sister-in-law, Faye Lyons and dear friend, Loretta Montgomery.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Davey Blackshaw; siblings, Don Lyons, Carol Rice, Danny Lyons and first husband, Frederick Henry Blackshaw Sr.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date at Fort Stevenson House in Fremont.

Memorials can be made in Ann’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
