Aniceto S. Puente Sr.

Aniceto S. Puente Sr, 93, of Fremont, OH, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, April 18, 2025. He was born on March 20, 1932 in Pflugerville, TX to Jesus and Concepcion (Silva) Puente.

Aniceto married Dominga Garcia on October 21, 1978 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont, OH and she preceded him in death on December 26, 2016. He worked for Heinz and retired after thirty-seven years of service. Aniceto enjoyed fishing, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Aniceto is survived by his children, Jessica Puente, Elvia (Timothy) Retcher, Aniceto (Jessica) Puente Jr, Joaquin (Carrie) Puente, Eniria Puente; former daughter-in-law, Melissa Puente; sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother, Margarito Puente and special family member, Esperanza Cruz.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dominga Puente; sisters, Juanita Lopez, Lucianna Dominguez and Maria “Cruz” Narvaez.

Visitation will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 3 to 5 pm and 6 to 7:30 pm with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State, Fremont, OH 43420.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 26, 2025, 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with an hour of visitation prior at the church.

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
