Andrew J. Carroll

Andrew “Andy” J. Carroll, 62, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Sunday, May 5, 2024.   He was born on August 29, 1961 in Bellevue, OH to Martin and Rose (Miller) Carroll.  Andy was a 1979 graduate of Clyde High School.

Andy married Michele Raths on May 1, 1981 at Clyde St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  He enjoyed woodworking and was a highly skilled luthier who handcrafted and refinished instruments.  Andy also enjoyed collecting and playing guitars, riding his motorcycle and going to flea markets.  He was a devoted husband and father.

Andy is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Michele Carroll, Fremont, OH; son, John (Alena Lipaj) Carroll, Bowling Green, OH; daughter, Ashley (Michael Mellinger) Carroll, Washington DC and brother, Randy (Jodi) Carroll, Green Springs, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Carroll.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.
