Al Darr

Al R. Darr, 80, of Green Springs, OH passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 surrounded by family at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. He was born on May 17, 1945 in Mt. Clemens, MI to Charles and Helen (Glover) Darr. Al was a graduate of Huron High School and then went on to serve in the National Guard.

Al married Barb Gent on November 30, 1996 and she survives. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, OH for thirty-two years, retiring in 1998. Al was a member of Journey Church, where he found fellowship and community. He enjoyed tending to his garden, woodworking, tinkering around his workshop and cherished his classic 1965 Mustang but above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Al is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Barb Darr, Green Springs, OH; children, David (Heather) Darr, Port Clinton, OH, Brian (Jen) Darr, Florence, SC, Melinda (Jay) Brenneise, Seymour, TN, Amber (Brian) Feeney, Green Springs, OH, Clint (Angela) Hackenburg, Oakland, CA; grandchildren, Izaak, Brady, Haylee, McKenna, Lilly, Gracie, Ruby, Brody, Ally, Ethan, Riley, Elizabeth, Jacob, Jack, Abe, KK; great grandson, Jack and sister, Bette Gadd, Milan, OH.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Char.

A Memorial Service will be held for Al on July 11. 2026 from noon to 3:00pm at Journy Church. There will be a prayer service at 2:45pm with Pastor Ken Dechant officiating.
