
Norman Leo Cook, 58, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born May 13, 1963 in Fremont to Albert D. and Ethella (Hartenstein) Cook. He was a 1981 graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School and attended Vanguard. Norman married Teresita “Tess” Ignacio on January 24, 1996 in the Philippines and she survives. He currently worked as a press operator and weld set-up person at Whirlpool Corporation since 1983. Norman was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a blood donor. He had livestock with 4-H and helped on his Aunt Gladys and Uncle Ray’s farm for many years. Norman enjoyed traveling, hiking, and spending time with his family, especially going to his kid’s events.
Norman is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Teresita “Tess” Cook; children, Travis Cook and Natalie Cook, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Marsha of Fremont, Ronald (Norma) of Huron, Gene (Becky) of Clyde, Loraine (Mitch) Luman of Evansville, IN, Bruce of Saint Johns, FL, Andrea Carter of Fremont, Jude (Lisa) of Fremont, Christopher of Bowling Green, OH, Patrice (John) Beauchemin of Fairfax Station, VA, Dale (Anne) of Port Clinton, Karen Cook Weissinger of Fremont, Teresa (Kevin) Wasserman of Woodville, Scott (Denise) of North Lawrence, OH and Edward of Trotwood, OH; mother-in-law, Juanita Ignacio of the Philippines; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Mary Elizabeth.
Visitation: Monday, December 20, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with a prayer vigil at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, December 21, 2021, 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH
