Nadine “Dee” G. Meyer
Nadine “Dee” G. Meyer, 73, of Fremont, OH, passed away Friday, June 05, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born November 5, 1941 to Melvin and Gertrude (La Farree) Himburg.
Dee married Ronald L. Meyer on September 7, 2002 at Grace Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2013. She formerly worked at Quality Care Nursing Home as a Supervisor in the kitchen and Little Italy Restaurant as a waitress. She also worked as a bartender at the Fremont VFW for twenty-nine years until she retired in 2010.
Dee was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a Life Member and Ladies Auxiliary at the Fremont VFW, where she volunteered in the Color Guard, enjoyed working and took her job seriously. She loved going to the casinos and being with her kids and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dee is survived by her children, Penny Dickman, Fremont, OH, Sherry (Scott) Corthell, Green Springs, OH, Alan (Renee) Barr, Clyde, OH, Michael (Carol) Barr, Mablehead, OH, Tasha (Lonny) Caswell, Tiffin; step children, Ron (Amy) Meyer, Jr., Fremont, OH, Chad Meyer, Oak Harbor, OH; sisters, Jeannine (Ken) Rogerson, Perrysburg, OH, Jan Rucki, Luckey, OH, Elizabeth (Frank) Graham, Bradner, OH, Irene (Gary) Soncrant, Rossford, OH; brothers, Rick Himburg, Dunbridge, OH, Larry Himburg, Swanton, OH; twelve grandchildren, six step grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Meyer, Sr., brothers, Melvin Himburg, Sr., Ronald and Robert Himburg; sister, Jolene Przychodni; step daughter, Christina Meyer.
Visitation: Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Monday, June 8, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Celebrant Maureen Pump officiating.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
Memorials: Grace Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice or to the family.
