Michael John Bergeman
Michael John Bergeman, 64, of Chattanooga, TN and formerly of Fremont, OH and Charlette, NC passed away on October 29, 2017 at Hospice of Chattanooga. He was born on November 18, 1952 in Fremont, OH the son of Richard Bergeman, Sr. and Doris (Bruggeman) Shriver.
Mike was a 1971 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He worked hanging eaves troughs for most of his life. He enjoyed juggling and was a very creative, loving and funny person. Mike was a man of strong conviction and lived life his own way.
Mike is survived by his son, Micah Bergeman, Charlotte, NC; siblings, Judy (Mike) Batesole, The Villages, FL, Rich (Carol Ann Langstine) Bergeman, Corvallis, OR, Bill (Sue) Bergeman, Charlotte, NC, Barbara Rapp, Fremont, OH, Eva (Kevin Kinahan) Bergeman, Wilmington, NC, Carrie (Gerry) Langelotti, Midlothian, VA, Frank Bergeman, Charlotte, NC and Ken (Helene) Bergeman, Matthews, NC; half-brothers, Todd (Julie) Bergeman and Jon Bergeman both of Tunnel Hill, GA; step-sisters, Diane (Steve) Young, Buda, TX and Ruth Shriver, Driftwood, TX; step-father, Grant Shriver, Fremont and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-brother, Dennis Shriver.
Graveside Ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2017; 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, 1225 Oakwood St., Fremont, OH.
Memorials can be made to the Donor’s Choice.
