Michael J. Dohanos

Michael J. Dohanos, 50, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on Saturday, November 2, 2013. He was born March 16, 1963 in Fremont, the son of Joseph and Francine (Carroccio) Dohanos. He was a 1981 graduate of St. Joseph High School. He also earned his Paramedic Certificate.

Michael married Kelly Wilhelm on June 11, 1983 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Fremont and she survives. Michael was a Police Officer with the City of Fremont and retired from the Police Force in 2012. He was a former Paramedic for Sandusky County EMS, a former Volunteer Fireman for Ballville Township and Home Care Aide. Michael was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Michael loved golfing, animals and volunteered at the Humane Society. He was a softball coach, Dance Dad, loved rock-n-roll and the Dairy Queen. Michael loved his family and grandchildren. They were the apple of his eye.

Michael is survived by his wife, Kelly Dohanos, Fremont, OH; children, Brittney (Justin) Fraley of Maryland, Brailley Dohanos, Findlay, OH; parents, Joseph and Francine Dohanos, Fremont, OH; siblings, David (Jody) Dohanos, Bowling Green, OH and Susan (Kevin) Paterak, Medina, OH; grandchildren, Cailyn and Camden Fraley.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Dohanos; grandparents, Steve and Elizabeth Dohanos and Frank and Ann Carroccio.
