
Micaela “Micky” Garcia, 95, of Fremont, OH passed away at her home on Saturday, October 11, 2014. She was born in Silao Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of Amado and Esperanza (Acosta) Garcia, Sr.
Micaela worked as a housekeeper at Our Lady of The Pines in Fremont for eleven years and retired in 1968. She was a former member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and then became a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Society and St. Joseph’s Prayer group. She loved gardening, cooking and sewing.
Micaela is survived by her siblings, Mercedes Hernandez, Toledo, OH, Delores (Alfred) Tolento, Lake Whales, FL, Angela (Ray) Ramirez and Joseph Garcia both of Burgoon, OH, Manuel “Professor” Garcia, Columbus, OH, Augustine (Jean) Garcia, Tiffin, OH, Amado “Jake” (Elaine) Garcia, Jr. Burgoon, OH; brothers-in-law, Sisto Reyna and Al Clinger; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Pedro (Anita) Garcia; sisters, Maria De Jesus Reyna and Teresa Clinger; sister-in law, Mary Garcia and brother-in-law, Enrique Hernandez.
Visitation: Wednesday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm with a Vigil at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, October 16, 2014, 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St. Fremont, OH with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating.
Burial: St. Mary’s Cemetery in Millersville, OH.
Memorials: St. Joseph Catholic Church or Hospice of Promedica Memorial Hospital.
