I got to know Mattie through my nursing job at the hospital and I so enjoyed seeing her each time she came in. She always made me/us smile (& laugh!!) with her conversation. I havnt seen her for quite some time since I retired, but I will always fondly remember her. I wish I could give her a hug once more. Maybe the Lord will give me that gift one day. I pray that you will be comforted in your loss by God’s promise of giving her a heavenly body & a new home in Heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:1-5

There is no ” Lost” to those who are believers. For your mother, like mine and many before them merely ” Rest” from their labors. To my family( Liggins) you are in my thoughts & prayers. This is not the end , for we all look forward to that ” Great” getting up morning. When the dead in Christ shall rise ” First”…. And then those who are left here shall be called up to meet them in the air. (Love you cousins from the ” Liggins” in Wisconsin).. You all have my condolences

To Rosie and the entire Liggins Family:
So sorry to hear of Mattie’s passing. She was a very caring and loving person, who never met a stranger. She befriended everyone
she met and was never at a loss for words. I loved her caring nature. One of my fondest memories is how she loved my Mother, the late Queenie Johnson. For as long as I can remember she never missed a Sunday Morning calling and checking on her, unless she was unable to. She will be sorely missed.
May God comfort you and give you strength during this difficult time.
    With deepest sympathy,
    Margaret Johnson Smith

Our deepest sympathy to all of Mattie’s family and friends, this was one amazing lady, she lit up the room when she walked in. John and I are so sadden by her passing , she will always be in our thoughts. Mattie would come to bingo at the YMCA where we worked and one year at Easter we passed out some little rubber chick, she was so tickled that nite because she won several big games and said it was all because of Chicken Leggs gave her this little chick that made her lucky , we had so much fun and really enjoyed her company each week, Pam I know your heart is broken and our prayers are with you, Rest in Peace Mattie, John & Joey Kokai
