Mary Lucille Ziebold

Mary “Lucille” Ziebold, 93, of Fremont, OH passed away on March 26, 2016 surrounded by her family at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. She was born on May 3, 1922 in Fremont the daughter of Henry “FC” and Clara R. (Paden) Smith. She was a 1940 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Lucille married Bernard T. Haslinger on November 29, 1941 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on October 27, 1970. She then married George D. Ziebold on December 20, 1975 and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1991.

Lucille was employed at Singer Controls for thirty one years until she retired in 1984. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Golden Threads of Memorial Hospital. She loved to cook, bake, yardwork and spending time outdoors.

Lucille is survived by her children, Daniel B. Haslinger, Fremont, Dennis T. (Beth) Haslinger, Sykesville, MD, Dale R. Haslinger, Fremont; step-daughter, Linda M. (Dennis) McCormack, Florissant, CO; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren and fifteen step-great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first and second husbands; siblings, Fred, John, Robert, Leroy, Donald and Charles Smith, Elsie Smith, Florence Hudgin, Edna Boonie and Margaret Minich.

Visitation: Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, March 30, 2016:11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH with Fr. Chris Kardzis officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line Rd., Sandusky OH 44870.
