
Mary L. Stine, 85, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on June 23, 1929 in Green Springs, OH, the daughter of Carl J. and Blanche (Haslinger) Dymond. She attended Fremont Ross High School.
Mary married Phillip M. Stine on July 27, 1946 in Covington, KY and he preceded her in death on November 13, 1994.
Mary owned and operated Mary’s Kitchen for twenty-five years. She made wedding cakes professionally, made candy and had a catering business. Mary’s motto was “A tasty treat that’s hard to beat.” She retired in 1990. She was an active member of Calvary Assembly of God Church where she was a youth counselor and loved to camp and play the piano.
Mary is survived by her children, Penelope “Penny” L. (Duane) Gourley, Ravena, OH, Christine A. (Tom) Perkins, Fremont, OH, Phillip “Flip” M. (Sheri) Stine, Haslet, TX, Rebecca “Becky” S. (Mike) Schneider, Tiffin, OH; grandchildren, Dana and Debbie Bennett, Kimberly Witt, Tim Perkins, Joshua and David Stine, Jennifer Ollom, Jeff and Jami Schneider; fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip M. Stine; brothers, Robert, Lee and Charles Dymond; sisters, Alice Garber and Georgia Miller.
Visitation: Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH
Service: Tuesday, February 3, 2015; 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
