
Mary Elaine (Hofelich) Warner, 86, of Fremont, OH passed to her eternal rest on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Valleyview Health Campus in Fremont. She was born on December 10, 1930 in Clyde, OH to the late George Dale and Rose Mae (Grove) Hofelich. Mary was married to Harry F. Warner on January 28, 1950 and he survives.
Mary graduated from Clyde High School in 1949 and shortly thereafter completed her certification as a beautician and began raising her family. Mary was widely known in the Fremont area having been employed by many local retail businesses and was an active volunteer at Memorial Hospital, the Food Pantry and others. Mary knew many people and was a friend to everyone she met. She was a very caring and loving person. Mary’s family was very important to her and she loved to cook and host family get-togethers.
Mary is survived by her loving and caring family, husband, Harry F. Warner; son, Michael (Mary Lou) Warner; daughter, Pamela (Scott) Smith; granddaughter, Kelly Warner (Andrew Kleinhans); great granddaughter, Addison Kleinhans and Mary’s beloved 4-legged companion Rebel, all of Fremont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Warner and siblings, Mercedes Shearon, Louise Smetzer, Dale, John, George and Eugene Hofelich.
Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2017, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am with Fr. Chris Kardzis officiating.
Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde, OH. Mary’s wishes were to be cremated.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Humane Society of Sandusky County, 2520 Port Clinton Rd, Fremont, OH 43420, Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to the Donor’s choice.
