Mark R. Weltin

Mark R. Weltin, 65, of Fremont, OH passed away on October 19, 2022 at his home.  He was born on July 4, 1957 in Findlay, OH the son of John R. and Diane (Berner) Weltin.  He was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and received his HVAC degree from Terra Community College.   Mark married Annette Lopez on January 29, 1983 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and she survives.  He was the owner of Weltin Heating and Air Conditioning since 1985.  Mark was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed cruises, fine dining and spending time with his family and his beloved cat, Ozzie.  Mark also enjoyed reading Stephen King novels.

Mark is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Annette Weltin, Fremont; children, Richard (Jodi) Weltin, Fremont, James (Heather McLaughlin) Weltin, Oregon, OH and Cassandra (Corey Straub) Walter, Burgoon, OH; mother, Diane Klingensmith, Sidney, OH; grandchildren, Taylor (Broc) Kemenah, Kennedi (Ryan Whitt) Weltin, Nathan Weltin, Juniper Weltin and Brenna Walter; great grandchildren, Easton and Henslie Kemenah and Carson Whitt; siblings, Marianne (Chas) Randolph, Sidney, OH, Mike Weltin, Fort Wayne, IN, Marsha (Eddie) Rodriguez, Fremont, Kara Hardman of Texas and Justin Weltin, Columbus, OH and father-in-law, Alfred Lopez, Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Weltin; grandparents, Ralph and Beatrice Weltin and Frank and Mabel Berner.

Visitation: Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Mass of Christian burial:  Friday, October 28, 2022; 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heath Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made to Our Lady of the Pines, Another Chance Sanctuary or Donor’s Choice.
