
Mark “Smitty” Allen Smith, 61, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on May 18, 2019. He was born on February 25, 1958 in Fremont, OH the son of the late Robert L. and Doris E. (Mains) Smith. He was a 1976 graduate of Ross High School and attended Vanguard for welding.
Mark worked for many years at Werk Brau in Findlay as a welder. He also worked at Plaza Lanes for several years. He was an avid bowler and Browns Fan. He volunteered at Family Worship Center and was very Active in AA where he was proud to be over four years sober. Mark was always willing to help out others and enjoyed spending time with his children as they grew up. He was also a former coach for the Fremont Ross Bowling Team.
Mark is survived by his children, Brandy (Ryan) Chittester, Rocky River, OH, Jameson Smith, Akron, OH and Britani (Bob) Harless, Kenton, OH; siblings, Michael (Pamela) Smith, Findlay, Charles (Lynn McDonald) Smith of Arizona, Jackie Simon, Fremont and Richard (Joyce) Smith, Findlay; grandchildren, Brianna, Brody, Brennyn, Zach, Barrett and Riley.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation: Thursday May 23, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at Memory Gardens in Arcadia, OH at a later date.
Memorials can be made to Family Worship Center, Fremont, OH.
