
Marilyn M. Cooley, 82, of Green Springs, OH, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at The Willows at Bellevue, in Bellevue, OH. She was born April 9, 1934 in Green Springs, the daughter of Charles Myron and Eva Mae (Berlekamp) Garland. She was a 1952 graduate of Green Springs High School.
Marilyn worked as an Expediter at Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde, OH and retired in 1996 after forty years of service. She was a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Isadore Chapter 299. Marilyn volunteered for the American Red Cross Bloodmobile and was a volunteer for the Sandusky County Board of Elections. She enjoyed traveling; sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marilyn was a hardworking dedicated mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Denise (Raymond) McCall, Richmond, TX, Steven (Beth) Cooley, Clyde, OH; sister, Jean (Norman) Foos, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Michael (Sarah), Rachael (Terry), Lucas (Maryana), Lauren (Dylan); great grandchildren, Julia, Logan and Jason; grand dog, Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William “Bill” Garland.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5 – 8 pm at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N. Broadway St, Green Springs, OH.
Service: Thursday, February 23, 2017, 10:30 am at the funeral home.
Burial: Green Springs Cemetery
Memorials: Green Springs United Methodist Church or the American Red Cross.
