
Marian L. Martin, 85, of Fremont, OH passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. She was born on January 3, 1930 in Bowling Green, OH, the daughter of James Clifford and Eleanor (Beard) Abbott. She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School.
Marian married Arthur F. Martin on December 31, 1949 in Newport, KY and he survives. She was a Homemaker and a member of El Bethel United Church where she taught Sunday school for thirty years. Marian loved to work with all types of wood and loved to make all kinds of crafts.
Marian is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Rev. Arthur F. Martin, Fremont, OH; children, Cheryl J. Martin, Fremont, OH, Sandra K. Stiffler, Sidney, OH, Arthur W. Martin, Rev. Rick Martin, Kenneth P. Martin, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Zilaha B. Hawkins, Bowling Green, OH, Eleanor J. Anderson and Leanor J. Davis both of Orville, CA; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James E. and Glenn M. Abbott; sisters, Viona R. Hammersmith, Inez Hyatt and Donella P. Harris.
Visitation: Friday from 3 – 5 pm and 7 – 9 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Saturday, January 24, 2015, 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Bob Smith officiating.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery
