
Maria E. De Leon, 65, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Toledo Hospital. She was born May 1, 1957, in McAllen, TX to Esteban and Manuela (Garza) Sanchez. Maria married Jose A. De Leon, Sr. on June 11, 1977, in McAllen, TX. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, camping, and spending time with her family.
Maria is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Jose A. De Leon, Sr.; children, Monica De Leon, Angelica (Marvin) Crowe and Jose (Rachel) De Leon, Jr., all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Esteban Sanchez of Indiana, Minta Sanchez, Norwalk, OH and Jennifer (Brian) Kessler, Howard, OH; grandchildren, Jose, Christian, Miah, Yasmine, Marizza, Marizela, Antonio, Charity, Trinity, Elysia, Angelo and Briella; four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Monica.
Visitation: Monday, December 5, 2022, from 10:00 am until Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Services will begin at Noon at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made in Maria’s honor to the Sandusky County Humane Society.
