Mardell Carper

Mardell E. Carper, 94, formerly of Fremont, OH, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Valatie, NY. She was born on September 10, 1918 in Seneca County to Lester V. and Sara L. (Hade) Level.

Mardell married Louis R. Carper on June 14, 1946 in Bettsville, OH and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1986. She was a buyer for Joseph’s Department Store. Mardell was a member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church in Fremont. She enjoyed music and playing bingo.

Mardell is survived by her daughter, Linda Lou Carper, Valatie, NY; granddaughter, Heather Carper; great grandson, Declan Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis R. Carper; one brother and two steps sons.

Visitation: Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420

Service: September 12, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Minister Ben Wallick officiating.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
