
Louise A. Crosby, 99, of Fremont, OH passed away on December 7, 2014 at Valley View Health Care Center. She was born on October 29, 1915 in Toledo, OH the daughter of Louis and Matilda (Kreager) Carstensen. She was a 1933 graduate of Port Clinton High School.
Louise married James Fowler who she later divorced. She then married Russel Crosby on March 10, 1960 at St. Mark Lutheran in Fremont, OH and he preceded her in death. She worked as an office manager at Yerges Manufacturing Co. for many years until she retired in 1985.
Louise was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Eagles Aux., REAC, Eagles State Mother 2000-01 and was inducted into the Eagles State Hall of Fame. She was also a member of the Soroptimist Club and the Fremont Federation of Women. She enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, playing cards, reading and taking rides in the country.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Barbara J. Stull and Nancy L. Park, both of Fremont; grandchildren, Mindy Mills, Jamie Gottron, Mark Stull, Susan Sheets, Jennifer Hotz and Cindi Flores; seven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russel Crosby; brothers, Howard and Earl Carstensen; son-in-law, Kenneth Stull.
Visitation: Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 902 E. State St., Fremont, OH
Service: Thursday, December 11, 2014; 10:30 a.m. at the church with Pastor Keith Koppenhofer.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH

It is 5:41 and I just read where Louise passed away today. I kid you not I was just thinking of her around 5:20…..I was wondering how she was…..I can’t believe it…
What a lady!!!! There are not too many ladies out there, but she was definitely one……

I thought of your mother every time I read the church newsletter and saw that she was one of the “shut-ins”. I never knew your mother well only seeing her in church. She always had a sweet smile and was a very faithful member of the church.
she had a long life and I hope it was a happy one.
