Dear Pastor Jody and Jeff,
Your mother was the mentor for all of us Seniors to live by. Her attitude, personality, sense of humor and ‘how to get the most out of life’ were the boost we all needed. I met Lorraine when I joined the Memorial Hospital Circuit Training Class. It was overwhelming in the beginning – 45 minutes – 40 stations. Did I expect to meet this sweet, gracious lady in that class? No…it was a testimony for all of us to get busy. She was escorted by you, Jeff, her terrific son-in-law who was there for support and whatever was needed. You served Grace Lutheran Church as an outstanding Pastor, and with L.I.F.T. (Lutherans in Faith Together), we came as members of St. John’s and joined in services and events together. What a ‘Light’ you have been to so many. I remember her answer when I asked how she would celebrate her birthday, (I believe it was her 90th), She quickly responded with..”I don’t know that there is anything special planned – I just want “A Really Good Steak”! Pastor Jody, I saw that spirit in you which drew so many to you in this community. What a blessing you and Jeff and your mother was to all of us. She is with our Heavenly Father, but with her love of travel, her worldly resting place is taking her on yet another wonderful trip. Our love and prayers. God Bless You,
