Linda Lee (Bailey) Celek, 56, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectantly at her home on March 23, 2018. Linda was born in Marion, IN on February 24, 1962 to Melvin Lee and Marjorie (Hiatt) Bailey. Linda married Mark A. Celek on December 3, 1983. Linda was the owner of Celek Brothers Masonry Contractors with her husband Mark.
Linda is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Mark Celek, Fremont; children, Lee Bailey Celek, Fremont, Maxwell Stanley Celek, Sandusky, and Leslie Caroline (Paul) Kippert, Royal Oak, MI; sisters, Shirley (Mike) Larson, Loveland, CO, Cathy (Jay) Buck, Carmel, IN, Susan (Stu) Roberts, Waterville, OH and Anna (Glenn) Rzepecki, Columbus, OH and all of her cherished nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; step-mothers, Flora Bailey and Linda Bailey; mother and father-in-law, Hazel and Stanley Celek; step-mother-in-law, Peg Swartzlander Celek.
Linda treasured her relationships with family and friends above all else. She was blessed with loving sisters who she was very proud to have close relationships with. Linda always felt fortunate after moving to Fremont, for finding four beautiful women; Alison, Beverly, Cindy, and Anita, who made her a part of their family through friendship. Every evening, Linda was joined by her close friend Denise to enjoy her favorite habit in life; walking in Walsh Park. Linda was the foundation of her family, and had the responsibility of organizing and maintaining five separate lives that would have been listless without her support and direction. Her loss was sudden, unjust, and above all else, devastating. Her sisters, children, husband, and friends will forever feel the missing piece of their family, and the loss of someone who will never be replaced. Mark is forever indebted to Linda for sharing her life with him, and will always feel he was given a gift no man could deserve.
The Memorial Mass will take place on Wednesday, March 28, 2018; 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH.
A celebration of life ceremony will follow mass at the Fremont Elks Lodge, 436 Croghan St., Fremont, OH.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
