Laurence “Larry” L. Richardson, 79, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 20, 1936 in Westerville, OH, the son of Chester D. Richardson and Lettie M. (Shaeffer) McGee. He attended Libby High School in Toledo, OH.
Larry served his Country in the Ohio Army National Guard for nine years. He married Anne M. Woodrick on April 16, 1971 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont and she survives.
Larry worked at Matlack Trucking for twenty-two years and for Young’s RV Center for twenty-one years where he retired in 1998. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed woodworking, camping, trains, WWII History, boating, ships of the Great Lakes, bird watching, vacationing in Florida and spending time with his family.
Larry is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Anne M. Richardson, Fremont, OH; children, Larry Douglas Richardson, Peoria, AZ, Chris (Jennifer) Linder, West Chester, OH, Beth (Jim Ginnever) Meyer, Fremont, OH; siblings, Bette (Bob) Albright and Robert McGee both of Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Desireé, Daniel, Justin and Ethan Richardson, Tara and Nick Linder; great grandchildren, Lexy and Anastasia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Richard “Rik” Richardson; sister, Nancy Devol.
Visitation: Sunday from 2 – 6 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Monday, July 27, 2015, 11:00 am at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service, Celebrant Maureen Pump officiating.
Memorials: Hospice of Promedica Memorial Hospital or Grace Lutheran Church.
